Sonkar further shared that they are still receiving complaints on loan-sharking. In this connection, a letter was sent to the Home Ministry to inform them of the issue. Some victims have even registered writ petitions at courts against the loan sharks.

The Home Ministry had earlier directed local administrations across the country to receive complaints from victims as loan sharks had allegedly exploited illiterate and financially weaker sections of the society.
