KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Anil Kumar Gurung has been elected the chair of Nature Guide Association Chitwan.
The 23rd Annual General Meeting and convention of the Association held in Sauraha on Friday elected a new working committee. The Association is an organization of nature guides who have been working based on the Chitwan National Park. Four candidates were in the race for the presidential position.
Likewise, Ramgiri Prasad Chaudhary was elected the vice-chairperson of the committee. Other unanimously elected office-bearers are Om Prakash Thapa (secretary), Pushpa raj Pathak (treasurer) and Dilip Subedi, Jitendra Kumar Singh, Samjhana Acharya Tiwari, Susmita Neupane, Santosh Chhetri Bhatta, Sanjaya Dahakal and Bardi Prasad Aryal (members), informed former chair of the Association, Bishnu Thapa.
