KATHMANDU, March 1: During the first two months of 2023, as many as 128,329 tourists visited Nepal.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in January, 55,074 tourists came to Nepal. Similarly, 73,255 tourists came to Nepal in February.

The Chinese government has allowed its citizens to visit Nepal from February 6. NTB Director Maniraj Lamichhane said that its positive effects have started to be seen in Nepal as well. Overall, the number of Indian and American tourists is high.
In February 2023, only 2,266 Chinese tourists came to Nepal. In the previous month (January), 1,436 Chinese tourists visited Nepal.
