Narayanghat-Mugling road to open for traffic in afternoon

CHITWAN, March 5: The Narayanghat-Mugling road section will open for traffic during the afternoon starting from today.



The road section used to remain closed for four hours in the afternoon from 11AM to 3PM for the purpose of cutting hillside to expand the road for the construction of bridges along the roadway.

The work of making way for the construction of bridges has been completed except for the hill next to Tuin river towards Muglin, said Krishna Acharya, information officer of Nagadhunga-Muglin road project. Explosives are being used to blow up the hall next to the Tuin river, where 40 meters are yet to be cut.


The work of cutting the side wall was carried out next to the Chisenji, Simaltal, Kalikhola and Namchi rivers, which have been completed. Five bridges are under-construction along the road.


A total of 20 bridges have been added on the road after the latest expansion of the road.
