KATHMANDU, March 2: Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is arriving in Nepal for a two day state visit.

“While the visit is expected, we are yet to receive confirmation of Islamabad,” a source at the Embassy of Pakistan said.

Kathmandu based news portal have been citing Bishnu Rimal, political advisor of KP Oli that during the visit, Abbasi will congratulate KP Sharma Oli, hold discussions with high-level political leaders and issues of mutual interest, including chairing SAARC.

However, Abbasi’s visit is yet to be confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No foreign PM has visited Nepal to congratulate the country's PM so far.
