RSP suspends its MP Dhaka Kumar Shrestha after leakage of audiotape of him demanding Rs 20 million from Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU, April 9: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has suspended its MP Dhaka Kumar Shrestha.



Shrestha was suspended by the party after an audiotape of him demanding Rs 20 million from medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai was released.

In the audio, Shrestha is clearly heard asking Prasai for money stating that he is going to become the health minister and for that he has to pay money to the party.


Party whip Santosh Pariyar said that MP Shrestha has been suspended by the party. “We heard the audio. The disciplinary committee of the party will work to know more about this. He has been suspended for a week," he said.
