KATHMANDU May 15: Both westerly and local winds have an effect on the country’s weather now.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the powerful cyclone ‘Mocha’ that hit the coasts of Bangladesh and Myanmar has weakened and isn’t likely to affect the weather in Nepal.

On Monday evening, the hilly region of the country can expect partly cloudy weather while the rest of the nation will experience clear weather. In the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Far-western provinces, there is a chance of intermittent or light rain with thunder and lightning.
