10 arrested for torching houses in Jumla

JUMLA, July 23: Police have arrested 10 persons for their alleged involvement in setting houses on fire at Guthichour rural municipality and Chandannath municipality of Jumla district on Saturday.

JUMLA, July 23: Police have arrested 10 persons for their alleged involvement in setting houses on fire at Guthichour rural municipality and Chandannath municipality of Jumla district on Saturday. 



According to the Information Officer at the District Police Office, Jumla, Dharma Raj Joshi, 10 persons have been arrested on suspicion of their involvement in the incident. However, police have not revealed the identity of the arrested persons.

An unidentified group had torched six houses at Guthichour, one house at Chandannath municipality and a parked tractor at 2 am on Saturday. 


Chairperson of Guthichour rural municipality, Dan Bahadur Budha, said a total of seven houses-- two houses at Dhawalpur village, one house at Bauli village, one at Dhudakhoj village, one at Mathillo Deharbijur village and two at Khalla ward were set on fire.
