CHITWAN, July 1: Fifteen passengers were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Khairahani municipality-1 on the East-West Highway this morning.
Indian national killed in motorbike accident
The bus (Na. 7 Kha. 5118) was heading towards Birgunj from Bharatpur when it tumbled on the roadside at around 6:45 in the morning, according to District Police Office, Chitwan. Of the injured, one passenger is in critical condition. The injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Chitwan.
Meanwhile, a youth has drowned during swimming in the Nayarani in Devghat in Bharatpur municipality. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Sangita Bhandari, a resident of Budanilakhanta in Kathmandu. The incident took place on Saturday evening. Bhandari was rescued but died on the way to the hospital, police said. RSS
