KATHMANDU, May 8: The promotion committee of Nepal Police has recommended 16 Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to be promoted to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) post.

SSP Kedar Rijal is top on the list followed closely by another SSP Sher Bahadur Basnet. Other SSPs recommended for the post are Pitambar Adhikari, Dipak Kumar Thapa, Dinesh Amatya, Narayan Singh Khadka, Rabindra Prasad Sharma, Kamal Bahadur Jiti, Mahendra Pokharel, Mahesh Bikram Shah, Prem Chand, Shyam Khadka, Dan Singh Bohora, Sushil Kumar Bhandari, Ram Prasad Shrestha and Suresh KC.
