18 Nepali workers in South Korea test positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: At least 18 Nepali nationals living in South Korea have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

KATHMANDU, Sept 4: At least 18 Nepali nationals living in South Korea have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).



According to Division of Infectious Disease Surveillance, South Korea, 18 Nepali workers affiliated to a food company called Hanul Nongsan tested positive for the viral disease, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.

Initially, a 20-year-old Nepali girl working in the same company had tested positive for COVID-19. Then after, swab samples of 17 Nepali fellow workers were collected and sent for testing which came out positive, the report further said.


All the 18 COVID-19 infected Nepali nationals in South Korea are currently undergoing treatment.
