CHITWAN, Nov 20: With the completion of golden marriage anniversary (50 year), twenty couples have been felicitated with ‘Ideal Couple’ in the district. The couples were honored during the First Eastern Chitwan Fair.
At a time when cases of divorce are increasing, the honor of the couples will help in decreasing divorce cases and these couples will inspire the newly-married youths, informed Neeraj Shrestha, organizer of First Eastern Chitwan Fair.

The honored couple will get free health services in Ratnagar Hisptal, according to Devendra Kumar Shrestha, chairperson of the hospital.
During the ten-day fair, six people (posthumous) have been felicitated for their contribution for the region. According to the organizer, more than one hundred thousand people visited the exhibition.
Several artists including Indira Joshi, Shiva Pariyar, Jyoti Magar, Manoj Gajurel and Sagar Ale among others presented their performance during the event.
