MORANG, Sept 17: High Court, Biratnagar on Tuesday issued an order to release SP Bikash Raj Khanal, who was currently serving a jail-term on the charge of gold smuggling and murder of Sanam Shakya, on general date.
Reversing the order of the district court, a joint bench of judges Nagendra Lal Karna and Thir Bahadur Karki directed to release Khanal.

Earlier this month, High Court had decided to release SSP Dibas Lohani and DSP Prajit KC, who were implicated in the gold smuggling and murder case and were serving jail-term, on general date.
Lohani and KC have been released already.
