She said, "Although the constitution has clearly mentioned about women representation. There was no remarkable representation of women in KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led governments. The incumbent government-led by Sher Bahadur Deuba has also not remarkable presence of women."

Regmi said that women should be empowered with the rights as ensured by the constitution, saying the country got the constitution due to women's movement.

Chairperson Regmi said, "We also met with Prime Minister and Party President Deuba and urged him to induct 33 per cent women in the cabinet. He told that he would think about it."

She also warned of launching agitation if 33 per cent of women representation in the cabinet is not guaranteed. Not a single woman has been represented in the cabinet-led by Sher Bahadur Deuba. RSS
