COVID-19 recovery rate in Gandaki Province is 71.49 percent while the death rate stands at 0.84 percent



KATHMANDU, Oct 6: With 21 new cases detected on Tuesday, Gandaki Province’s COVID-19 case tally has reached 4,264.

The Province has currently 1,217 active cases as 3,047 people who had earlier tested positive for the virus have recovered and returned home. This figure accounts for 71.49 percent of the total cases.


According to a press statement by the Health Directorate of Gandaki Province, the province has witnessed 36 cases of fatality linked with COVID-19 as of Tuesday morning.


Of the new cases recorded on Tuesday, nine (six from Kaski, two from Tanahun and one from Shyanja) were detected at  Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences and the remaining ( 11 from Nawalparasi and one from Gorkha) were recorded at Chitwan Medical College.
