BAITADI, Aug 15: Five people including an expecting mother were killed in a bus accident in the district on Monday.
The ill-fated bus, Na 5 Kha 2832, belonging to Far-western Transport Entrepreneurs' Association, en-route to Bajhang from Dhangadhi, met with an accident at Siddheshwar-3 along the Jayaprithvi Highway at 3 pm today.

"We are preparing to identity the deceased," said SI Rupsing Thapa from the accident site.
According to Thapa the bus skidded off the road and fell some 500 meters down the hill. The death toll is likely to go up, said police. A police team deployed from Khodpe Police Post is carrying out the rescue work.
