61 percent Nepalis have bank accounts

According to the report, financial reach is rapidly increasing in Nepal. Bank and financial institutions are establishing new branches in rural areas, and the people's access to new technology has increased, according to the report. The number of mobile banking users is 8,347,000, while those using internet banking has reached 900,000, the report said. 


There is increase in the number of deposit and loan accounts in different banks and financial institutions, according to the report.
