7 injured after gas-cylinder goes off in Sunsari

ITAHARI, Feb 24: Seven people were injured after a gas cylinder used for filling balloons suddenly exploded in Sunsari district.

ITAHARI, Feb 24: Seven people were injured after a *gas cylinder used for filling balloons suddenly exploded in Sunsari district.



The condition of the three among those injured in the incident is said to be critical.


The devotees who thronged to partake in the fair held at Shiva Mandir in Simariya-9 on the occasion of Mahashivaratri sustained injuries after the gas cylinder burst at 11 am today.

The injured are Tara Mandal, 32, of Sundar Dulari, Somraj Majhi of Katahari, according to SP Poshraj Pokharel of District Police Office, Sunsari.


The identity of the other whose condition is critical is yet to be ascertained. Those sustaining minor injuries are undergoing treatment at a local health center.


 The critically injured have been admitted to Nobel Hospital, Biratnagar.


Meanwhile, police have taken Bagwan Sah for selling gas-filled ballons under control.
