78 Non-resident Nepalis die of COVID-19 worldwide: NRNA

KATHMANDU, May 10: A total of 78 Non-resident Nepalis have died due to coronavirus and 5,472 Nepalis have been diagnosed with the same disease as of Saturday evening, the Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) said on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, May 10: A total of 78 Non-resident Nepalis have died due to coronavirus and 5,472 Nepalis have been diagnosed with the same disease as of Saturday evening, the Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) said on Sunday.



Of them 50 Nepalis died in the United Kingdom alone. 15 in the United States of America, six in in the United Arab Emirates, and one each in Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Bahrain and Sweden, according to a press release issued by the NRNA.

The data compiled by the NRNA shows that at least 2,000 Nepalis have recovered from the contagion.


Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, the NRNA has distributed relief materials to 35,000 COVID-19 affected NRNs living in various countries.
