A Silver Lining

There is a way out Even from the abyss Where no light pierces the soul
By Amrit Poudel

There is a way out

Even from the abyss

Where no light pierces the soul

Know in the land of known

The rays of the sun have shone

Those who put smiles on their face

A silver lining around dark clouds

have no time to even care less

they wake up and head out straight

be aware they know not

if you are even in the race

Still, if you believe a rope to appear

Only for you to grasp its rear

No wonder, you have been gone for long

I wonder if silence is all you hear,

Even when the train is blowing its horn

I have walked some roads

Where loneliness crawls

Even in the streets full of brawls

It is real, and I shall speak no more

For there’s no reason why we have been chosen

At least I know not one of them

But there’s a thing I know – a way out

Keep fighting; your brave soul does not lose

To a soulless abuse!
