Committee Chair Dipak Koirala urged the Ministry to finalize the upcoming budget and programme based on its outcome and rationale. "If the priority of the government is tourism, then it should allocate sufficient budget for tourism infrastructure," he said.

The Committee members also pointed out the need for a strong monitoring mechanism in order to ensure enforcement of the government's projects and programmes in coordination with the local level government units. Budget should not be distributed based on political faith and access, they said.
