Citizens with yellow card start getting social security allowance in Khotang

KHOTANGm July 2: Aiselukharka Rural Municipality in Khotang district has started distributing social security allowance even to citizens with a yellow card provided by the government to physically disabled people.



Prior to this, only physically disabled people with red and blue cards used to get social security allowance intended for differently-abled citizens.

Aiselukharka Rural Municipality gave the physically disabled citizens with a yellow card a total of Rs 2,400 each as a social security allowance”, said Vice-chairperson of Aiselukharka Rural Municipality Puspa Kala Bhujel.


Aiselukharka Rural Municipality has paid 62 physically disabled citizens their social security allowance (Rs 200 per month) mentioned in the policy and program it unveiled in the last fiscal year.


It has distributed a total of Rs 148,800 as a social security allowance intended for citizens with a yellow card. “Those citizens with a yellow card who have yet to get their allowance will be given their allowance arrears within this month”, said Bhujel
