ATM cash withdrawal limit raised to Rs 100,000 per day

KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has raised the daily limit of cash withdrawal from bank ATMs.

Releasing the Unified Directives to all licensed institutions, the NRB increased the daily limit for cash withdrawal from the debit cards to Rs 100,000 from the existing limit of  Rs 60,000. 


On September 6, 2019, the central bank had slashed the daily limit to Rs 60,000 per day from Rs 100,000 in the wake of ATM heist in Kathmandu. Similarly, per transaction limit has been also increased to Rs 25,000 from Rs 20,000 per transaction.
