Authorities, local communities pledge to help in Dharahara reconstruction

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The authorities concerned with the reconstruction of Dharahara and the local communities have pledged to assist in the reconstruction of the iconic heritage. At a function organized by the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) on Sunday, the attendees pledged to help in the reconstruction by removing all the infrastructures in the area and helping in the reconstruction process in the future as well.

At the function, representatives from Nepal Telecom, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Nepal Rastra Bank, Post Office, Traffic Police, Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), ward chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-2 and other well-wishers of the reconstruction project all pledged to help in the quick reconstruction of the heritage.


Manager of Nepal Telecom, Jhabindra Lal Upadhyay said that the telecom will help in the reconstruction by installing a telephone line in the area that will be convenient to use inthe future too. Similarly, chief executive officer of NRA, Sushil Gyewali pledged to construct a road in such a way that it will be easy for the locals to travel.
