Balen Shah leading KMC mayor race with 2457 votes, both Sthapit and Singh trailing behind (updated)

KATHMANDU, May 15: Independent candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Shah 'Balen' has maintained his lead in the ongoing vote counting. According to the latest details, he has received 2,457 votes. Meanwhile, Keshav Sthapit of UML is following Shah with 1,427 votes.

KATHMANDU, May 15: Independent candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Shah 'Balen' has maintained his lead in the ongoing vote counting. According to the latest details, he has received 2,457 votes. Meanwhile, Keshav Sthapit of UML is following Shah with 1,427 votes.

Likewise, Nepali Congress leader Srijana Singh, who is contesting from the ruling alliance, has secured 1,168 votes. Similarly, Madan Das Shrestha of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has received 214 votes.
