KATHMANDU, Nov 12: President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Md. Abdul Hamid arrived in Kathmandu on a four-day official goodwill visit to Nepal on Tuesday afternoon.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth received Hamid at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Bangladesh president attended the ceremonial welcome at the TIA VVIP lounge.
The ceremony was attended by President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timalsina, cabinet ministers, high-ranking government officials and chiefs of national security agencies.

Hamid is visiting Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bhandari.
During the visit, the President of Bangladesh will meet with President Bhandari.
Bhandari will host a Banquet in honor of the President of Bangladesh and his delegation.
Vice President Pun, Prime Minister Oli, Chairperson of the National Assembly Timalsina and Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali are scheduled to hold separate meetings with President of Bangladesh during his stay.
Senior political leaders of Nepal will also call on the President of Bangladesh.
While in Nepal, the President of Bangladesh will also visit Pokhara and the historical, archaeological and cultural sites in the Kathmandu Valley.
