Veteran Nepali actor Bhuwan KC has been appointed as the chairperson of the Film Development Board by a Cabinet meeting held on July 25, Monday.

The government has selected KC out of the list of 10 people who were nominated for the post.
Similarly, Arun Kumar Pradhan, Deepak Shrestha, Naresh Kumar Paudel, Nirmal Raj Dhakal, Manish Pandit, Yakkan Upreti Rauniar, Suchitra Shrestha, Sunil Kumar Pokharel and Sushma Karki have been selected as candidate members of the Board by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
Earlier, KC joined Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s Nepali Congress (NC) Party.
