TIKAPUR, August 1: A woman who was injured when the boat she along with others was riding capsized in the Karnali River has died. According to Padam Bahadur Bhul, a local teacher, the deceased has been identified to be Dhansara Salami Magar. Her one month old son Karna Salami Magar is also injured and is currently undergoing treatment.
According to the District Police Office, as many as three people are still missing after their boat capsized in the Karnali River at around 12PM in Mohanyal Rural Municipality-3.

The three missing have been identified to be 20-year-old Urmila Salami Magar and her 10 days old son and 20-year-old Parwati Thapa. Five others who were on board the same boat managed to swim to safety.
The boat met with the accident while being taken to Chaukune Rural Municipality in Surkhet to vaccinate and treat their children. Police and locals are still searching for the missing.
However, strong tides in the river have created problems in the search operation.
