Bodybuilding team leaving for Thailand

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Nepali bodybuilding team is set to leave for Pattaya, Thailand on Tuesday to take part in the eighth edition of the World Bodybuilding Championship to be held from November 29 to December 5.

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Nepali bodybuilding team is set to leave for Pattaya, Thailand on Tuesday to take part in the eighth edition of the World Bodybuilding Championship to be held from November 29 to December 5. 



Four Nepali bodybuilders including Anil Shrestha, Binod Bajracharya, Bimal Lal Shrestha and Nanita Maharjan will vie in different categories of the championship organized by Thailand Bodybuilding and Sports Physique Association under the aegis of World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation. 



Anil will take part in the male's 60 kg body building event while Binod will vie in the 175 cm fitness event. Similarly, Bimal Lal Shrestha will participate in the 170 cm fitness physique event while Nanita will vie in the women's 170 cm model physique event. 



Nepal Bodybuilding Association's President Rajesh Babu Shrestha and head coach Gyanendra Nakarmi will accompany the Nepali team. International judges Pushpa Kumar Shrestha and Sunil Raj Karnikar are also flying with the team to participate as judges for the championship.



National Sports Council (NSC)'s Member Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista bade farwell to the team at the NSC premises in Satdobato on Monday.
