JHAPA, Aug 12: Bomb went off at ward office in Birtamod of Jhapa this morning. According to the Area Police Office, Anarmani, the bomb explosion took place at the joint office of ward 7,8 and 9 of Birtamod municipality at around 4.30am today.

Sunil Shrestha, Police Inspector, said the bomb detonation has broken down the windows of the joint ward office. The bomb exploders are yet to be identified, he said. Police have initiated investigations immediately after the incident, Shrestha added.
Though the explosion caused damages to the outer part of the ward office, the documents inside are safe, police further said.
