KATHMANDU May 11: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), there is currently a general effect of the local and westerly winds in the country. As a result, the weather is clear in most parts of the country while in hilly areas, it is slightly cloudy in the mornings.
This afternoon there is a chance of momentary rainfall with lightning in the hilly areas of Karnali and Gandaki provinces. There are chances of normal wind in some places in the Terai region of Lumbini province.

The MFD said that by night, most of the country will experience common, clear weather. By Friday, this may change in the hilly areas of Karnali and Gandaki provinces, with a chance of brief rainfall and lightning.
