Aegyo

Aegyo means acting or being cute.


ARMY

"ARMY" stands for "Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth", wherein "M.C" means "master of ceremonies". BTS fans often call themselves BTS-ARMY.


B-side

All songs in a K-pop album apart from the title track are called "B-side'.

Daesang

Daesang means the 'grand prize" a K-pop star can get for their work.


Hyung

In Korean culture, elders (in age or status) are respected by calling them Hyung or attaching the word at the end of their name.


Maknae

Similarly, the youngest member in the group is called Maknae.


Photocard

Every K-pop album's physical copy has a photocard. They are like trading cards for fans which they exchange, sell, or trade till they get their favorite collection.


Purple

Instead of saying "I love you" to his fans, V from BTS prefers saying "I purple you".


Sasaeng

A person who stalks or invades the K-pop band's privacy is called Sasaeng.


VLive

VLive is a streaming platform that the BTS band uses for distributing their content.
