POKHARA, Oct 3: At least two persons were killed and 26 others injured when a passenger bus overturned near the Yamdi bridge at Pokhara – 26 today.
The deceased have been identified as Manrupa Aryal, 47 and her two-year-old grandson, Atit Aryal, of Neta VDC – 2 of Gulmi district, District Police Office said.
The ill-fated bus (Ga 1 Kha 6169) en route to Burtiwang of Baglung from Kathmandu veered out of control and overturned while overtaking another vehicle.
The injured passengers are being treated at Manipal Teaching Hospital and Western Regional Hospital, said Sub Inspector, Shiva Bahadur Khatri, of the Ward Police Office, Bagar. The police have detained bus driver, Krishna Bahadur Budha. RSS
