KATHMANDU, Dec 17: The government of Nepal has made various decisions at a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday.



The meeting decided to approve the resignation of Nepal Revenue Consultation Development Committee member Nirmal Hari Adhikari. According to government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, the meeting also decided to form a negotiation team to get an additional loan of USD 18 million for COVID-19 Emergency Response and Public Health Risk Preparedness Project.

Similarly, decisions were made to appoint Binod Kumar Bhattarai to the post of gazetted first-class of law group at judicial service and Ram Pyari Sunuwar to the post of gazetted first-class of justice group at judicial service. Moreover, decisions regarding the approval of Inspector General Sailendra Khanal’s participation in the 18th Anniversary of Indian Armed Border Force were also taken.  


Spokesperson Karki also said that the Cabinet has decided to approve the use of 10.52 hectares of national forest area of ​​Birendranagar Municipality and Ministry of Forests in Barahatal and Panchpuri villages for the construction of pole and right of way structure of Surkhet-Bijaura 33 KV Transmission Line Project among various other decisions made by the meeting.
