Kathmandu Valley to become a load-shedding free zone

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulmansing Ghising, to prepare a concrete draft so as to declare the Kathmandu Valley a load-shedding free zone.

KATHMANDU, Nov 7: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulmansing Ghising, to prepare a concrete draft so as to declare the Kathmandu Valley a load-shedding free zone.



“ I am happy that my dream to make the Kathmandu Valley a load-shedding free  zone is coming true,” said Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, after a meeting with Ghising who had gone to Baluwatar to meet the PM.

Dahal said that he has already directed NEA Executive Director Ghising to expedite the work to this effect and ask the government for help in case of any hassles. The government is always ready to cooperate  with the NEA, the PM said. 


He directed Ghising to gear up for the recovery of electricity arrears, control power theft and make necessary preparations for the mega projects.


Ghising said that the NEA is all set to make the valley free from load-shedding in line with the plan of Prime Minister Dahal.
