KATHMANDU, March 29: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against six people including the then chief of the Tribhuvan University Service Commission, Parashuram Koirala. A lawsuit has been filed against them for allegedly tampering with the results of an examination with malicious intent to benefit another person.
CIAA has filed the case against them at the Special Court, accusing them of falsifying answer sheets of the examinees in the written examination for the post of Accounts Assistant and Library Assistant conducted in 2074 BS with wrong intentions and altering the merit list by manipulating the marks.

According to Shyam Prasad Bhandari, spokesperson for the CIAA, the case was filed against Associate Professors Keshav Ghimire and Rajeshwor Neupane (who examined the first and second papers for the post of Accounts Assistant respectively), Joint Library Administrator Indira Ghimire (who checked the second paper for the post of Library Assistant), answer sheets Superintendent Professor Dr Teknath Dhakal, Chief Superintendent ie the then chief of the TU Service Commission Parashuram Koirala and the then chief office assistant Bachuram Pandey.
A charge sheet was filed against them at the Special Court in Kathmandu today seeking imprisonment for three months to one year and a fine of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 as they were found guilty of corruption under Section 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
