KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Chief District Officer (CDO) Ganesh Prasad Bhattarai who had sustained critical injuries in Bara road accident has passed away.
Bhattarai succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj on Monday, Naresh Bhattarai, the deceased’s younger brother, told Republica Online.

Bhattarai was returning home from Sarlahi after participating in a picnic program by a jeep, Na 1 Jha 1633, when it met with an accident on January 26.
Armed Police Force SP Balaram Pokharel had died on the spot. Other three people including Bhattarai had been injured in the incident. Bhattarai had been brought to Kathmandu for treatment.
