Chand-led group member held with arms cache in Sankhuwasabha

KATHMANDU, July 4: Police on Thursday confiscated 110 rounds of bullets, one Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) and one Light Machine Gun (LMG) with its magazines in Sankhuwasabha.

KATHMANDU, July 4: Police on Thursday confiscated 110 rounds of bullets, one Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) and one Light Machine Gun (LMG) with its magazines in Sankhuwasabha.



During a raid, a team of police seized the arms allegedly possessed by the cadres of outlawed Chand-led outfit from Mewa Khola area in the district, according to SP Ramesh Thapa at the Police Headquarters.

Meanwhile, the police team also arrested Nim Dorji Lama, a local-level cadre of the Chand-led outfit from the same place.


The seizure of the arms comes three days after the cadres of Chand-led group and police exchanged fire in Sankhuwasabha.
