KATHMANDU, March 14: What actually led the Oli-led government to put ban on the activities of the Chand-led Nepal Communist Party?
It has been revealed that the Chand-led party had several plans including assassinating some high-profiles including the chairman duo of Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal and KP Sharma Oli. However, it has not been verified independently.
As per the personal diary of Khadga Biswakarma alias Prakand, a key leader of the Chand-led NCP, obtained by the police during a raid at his house at Kapan in July last year, the party had plans to attack the top notches.
Online portal Nepal Khabar www.nepalkhabar.com reported on Thursday that the senior police officials immediately had briefed the key leaders including the prime minister after they came to know about the plans of Chand-led party to target the key leaders.

On Tuesday, the government banned the activities of the Chand-led Party after it concluded that the party has been intensifying incidents of extortion and violence across the country.
The government's move came following two separate blasts in the Capital in the interval of two months, in which, one person was killed and two persons sustained injuries.
In its press statements, the Chand-led Party had taken the responsibility of both the major blasts.
With the decision, the government has started treating the Chand-led party as a criminal gang rather than a political outfit.
The Chand-led Party's recent activities including extortion and detonating bombs are becoming security threat for the country.
The Chand-led Nepal Communist Party is one of the splinter groups of the former Maoist rebel party that entered the mainstream peaceful politics in 2006 after the end of the ten-year-long civil war since 1996.
