KATHMANDU, March 25: The Chargé d’Affaires Manuel Micaller welcomed the new batch of US Embassy Youth Council Nepal members on Thursday.

KATHMANDU, March 25: The Chargé d’Affaires Manuel Micaller welcomed the new batch of US Embassy Youth Council Nepal members on Thursday.



This year’s Council consists of 55 members who were selected from an initial group of over 2,600 applicants.

According to the US Embassy in Nepal, the batch represents Nepal’s social, religious, cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity and will work on small projects to help their communities.


“The Chargé emphasized the role of youth in Nepal’s economic and social development. We are thrilled to welcome these young community leaders and look forward to supporting their personal and professional development as they strive for a more democratic, prosperous, and inclusive Nepal,” the embassy said in a statement.
