KALIKOT, Feb 3: A child died on the spot after being hit by a four-wheeler near a health post in Rarakatia Road in Shubh Kalika Rural Municipality Ward-4 of Kalikot district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Sunil Tamatta (approximately 14 years old), son of Naisingh Tamatta, a resident of Shubhakalika Rural Municipality Ward-5, said Bhupendra Shahi, Inspector at the District Police Office, Kalikot. According to him, the vehicle bearing registration number Ve 1 Cha 1260 had hit the child. The vehicle has been taken under control by the locals while the driver is on the run.
Further investigation into the incident is currently underway
