KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested a junior officer of Land Revenue Office, Bhaktapur in the charge of taking bribes.
According to the CIAA, the arrested junior officer is Rishiram Budhathoki and he was arrested on Wednesday evening while taking bribes of Rs 300,000. He was receiving the bribe for transferring ownership of a land plot of 13 ropanis, which is owned by a Guthi, into an individual's name.

According to CIAA spokesperson Jeebaraj Koirala, office assistant Keshav Khatri and Bishnu Nisutu, who was helping Budhathoki for the illegal move, were also arrested along with Budhathoki. All three were arrested from an eatery shop in Bhaktapur.
