CIAA takes an engineer under control for taking bribe

ROLPA, July 9: A government employee has been arrested in Rolpa for taking bribes. 



A team of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Engineer Navin Dangi working in Gangadev Rural Municipality on the basis of a special tip off received from a service seeker.

Engineer Dangi was arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a service recipient.


The engineer was taken under control by the CIAA team while taking bribes from the service recipient after preparing the survey book and bill of the construction project. Commission’s Spokesperson Shyam Prasad Bhandari informed that he was taken under control with Rs 50,000 money from his government residence.


Based on the information that a bribe was demanded from the service recipient, the team deployed by the CIAA from Nepalgunj has reached the Gangadevi Rural Municipality. The team has taken Engineer Dangi under control to conduct further investigation.
