KATHMANDU, June 8: The first phase of the 'Himal, Pahad, Tarai-Madhesh Nepali Congress National Awakening Campaign' is concluding today.
The campaign had begun on May 8. During the campaign, central leaders visited all the 77 districts, organized mass meeting, distributed membership and collected recommendations and feedback from the public. On the occasion, the majority of the local cadres in the district have suggested for uniting the party with unity among all the senior leaders.

They also suggested making the merit-based evaluation of leaders and cadres of the party. The major objective of the campaign was to inform people at the local level about the policy and programs and the amended statute endorsed by the party's mahasamiti, consolidate the party organization and share the progress made by the country in the past under the NC leadership.
The campaign will be organized in three phases throughout the year 2076. It will end on January 1, 2020, on national reconciliation day, according to party spokesperson Biswa Prakash Sharma.
