"It is the government's responsibility to ensure the public security. However, in the name of ensuring people's security, the government should not negate the NCP by going against the constitution. We urge the government to display the statesmanship and find a durable solution through dialogue," the NC said. The party has urged the Chand-led NCP to find the solution peacefully in line with the existing constitution.

The NC, in the statement, urged the ruling Nepal Communist Party and Chand-led NCP not to underestimate the people's aspirations to have a peaceful society at a time when the country has been moving on the path of peace after the end of the conflict.
