POKHARA, Sept 30: Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hitraj Pandey today inaugurated a motorable bridge at the area between Lahachowk and Ghachowk in Kaski.

Built at the cost of around Rs 15 million provided by the government, the 24.7 meter long bridge will benefit local people particularly of Lahachowk, Ghachowk, Machhapuchchhre, Sardikhola and Rivan VDCs.

Meanwhile, speaking at the program, minister Pandey said other such motorable bridges across the country would also be built with financial support from the government until government's resources could afford it.

He also said the bridge would ease the transportation of agricultural products from the local villages into the market.

In a different context, the minister viewed that the implementation of the constitution needs cooperation of all political parties, saying the process has moved ahead to hold all three levels of elections within the set time (17 months remaining). RSS
