NUWAKOT, June 10: The District Administration Office, Nuwakot, has recommended the names of construction entrepreneurs who failed to complete the given task in the slated timeframe. The contractors are blamed for leaving 31 development projects in limbo.
The DAO collected the names of the contractors based on a circulation from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal'. The names of the contactors and the construction companies have been sent to the Ministry for action.

According to Chief District Officer Uddhab Bahadur Thapa, three projects under the District Technical Office, five projects of the Central Regional Irrigation Development Division Office, 12 projects of the Division Road Office and 11 projects awarded contract from the Urban Development and Building Division Office were left incomplete in the given deadline and are sent their names for further investigation and action. The major unfinished projects include those of road, health posts, motorable bridge, irrigation and others.
However, the contractors have claimed last year's election and the subsequent election code of conducts, Gorkha Earthquake-2015, the economic blockade imposed from India on Nepal, torrential rainfall and lack of construction materials were the major causes behind delayed construction works. RSS
