Corona-infected campus chief dies in Bardiya

KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The campus chief of Babai Multiple Campus died of the coronavirus infection on Saturday.



The deceased campus chief, Binod Kumar Agrawal, 52, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital, confirmed the Chief District Officer (CDO) of Banke, Ram Bahadur Kurumwang.

According to sources close to his family, Agrawal had been suffering from lung cancer for two years. He had returned a week ago from the Indian capital of New Delhi after undergoing a routine treatment at Medanta Hospital.


He was diagnosed with COVID-19 during a PCR test following his return from India. He was taken to the hospital after he experienced breathing difficulties on Saturday morning.
