‘Covered’ to feature Aasish Dangol in its opening episode

Radio Nagarik, of Nepal Republic Media, is all set to introduce a brand new radio show: ‘Covered’. ‘The show is scheduled to go on air starting Sunday, and will feature cover-version singers who are looking for a break into the Nepali musical fraternity.

Radio Nagarik, of Nepal Republic Media, is all set to introduce a brand new radio show: ‘Covered’. ‘The show is scheduled to go on air starting Sunday, and will feature cover-version singers who are looking for a break into the Nepali musical fraternity. 



In its opening episode, ‘Covered’ will be bringing in Aashish Dangol, an aspiring singer from Bhotebahal, Kathmandu. Expressing his delight, the newcomer shared, “I am very happy that I have been selected for the first episode. On Facebook, I saw that Radio Nagarik was looking for cover singers, so I sent one of my covers -- ‘Najeek’ by Bartika Eam Rai. And two days later, I got a call from the radio.”

He further added, “In the first episode, I will be talking about the different aspects of my singing. Whereas, in the following episode, scheduled for September 20, I am planning to perform more cover songs.”


Dangol also informed that he would be singing Bartika Eam Rai’s ‘Najeek’on the first show. ‘Covered’ will be hosted by Jyovan Bhuju and will be aired live, on Radio Nagarik 96.5,  from 7pm to 8pm.
