CPN (Maoist Centre) wins election in Purchaudi Municipality

BAITADI, July 2: CPN (Maoist Centre) has won the election in Purchaudi Municipality of Baitadi district.

BAITADI, July 2: CPN (Maoist Centre) has won the election in Purchaudi Municipality of Baitadi district. 



CPN (Maosit Centre) Mayoral candidate Ran Bahadur Kunwar won the election with 4,446 votes. His nearest rival, Deepak Bam, of the Nepali Congress received 4,111 votes.

Similarly, Janaki Bam of the same party was elected to the post of Deputy-Mayor receiving 4,984 votes. Her closest rival Janaki Saud of the CPN (UML) got 3,787 votes. 


Out of 10 wards of the municipality, NC has won the election in ward no 1, 2, 7 and 8 while CPN (UML) has got victorious in ward no 4, 6 and 10. Similarly, the CPN (Maoist Centre) won the election in ward no 3, 5 and 9. RSS
